JOB SPECIFICATION

Position: Financial Controller, Mombasa

Hours: Monday – Friday, 8 hours a day

Salary Package: £2,500.00 net per month. Tax paid in Kenya

Holidays: 20 days per year plus bank holidays

Probationary period: 3 months

Qualities:

• Qualified Accountant
• Proven management and leadership qualities
• Good organisational skills/effective time management
• Sound knowledge of Sage, Quick Books, Word and Excel
• Additional ability to learn other IT packages
• Good communication skills
• Loyalty and commitment

Duties:

• Manage a large team of approximately 20
• To take Companies accounts to trial balance, balance sheet and profit and loss account status on a monthly basis and year end basis
• Create budgets and ensure variance accounting
• Clear the backlog in the accounts
• Liaise with the Auditors and External Consultant as and when required
• Ability to work under strict deadlines
• To sign confidentiality agreement
