Jewellery Designer
The Company
Our Client is one of the UK's leading Jewellery Design companies. They design and manufacture beautiful jewellery to only the highest standards.
Our Client provide jewellery to some of the UK's biggest High Street Retailers.
Our Client has been established for many years and their ranges of jewellery have been received to rave reviews and received Industry awards.
Due to their continued success our Client is expanding and is seeking an experienced Jewellery Designer to join their London team.
The Role
The main duty of this position will be to design and develop an exciting but commercial range of fashion jewellery that maintains the Client's and brand's unique identity in the current market.
Main Duties
•Designing product collections with involvement from initial design brief through to development sample stage
•Researching market and current trends
•Coordinating development sampling activities in line with critical path
•Actively participate in weekly Best & Worst meetings
•Develop strong working relationships with Buying team to meet business objectives
•Utilise host store trend information
•Fully develop and refine designs and determine with Buyer appropriate factories for product development
•Take direction from Buyer to develop commercial range suitable for the brand
•Engineer finished development samples back to commercial price points
•Source new factories
•Ensure the range meets quality standards
•Negotiate initial prices with suppliers to maximise margin
•Preparing mood boards
The Person
The successful applicant will have previous experience as a Jewellery Designer and will have proven skills in designing fashionable jewellery.
An understanding of key trends is required plus an ability to work on your own initiate and also as part of the Design team. This role means the individual will be able to use their creative and technical skills to create jewellery ranges.
The Rewards
The starting salary for this position is £30K depending on experience with a fantastic opportunity for progression within such a well established Design company.
