Windows server systems, SQL Server, Exchange Server, Network Architecture and Security and Server Virtualisation VMWare are the key technical skills.
The role is to take ownership of the administration and support of all the systems and technical infrastructure, including; new server builds / maintenance of existing;
* software installation deployments;
* hardware, network and application configuration;
* service pack upgrades and software upgrades;
* manage storage area network;
* security protection;
* housekeeping / general maintenance;
* server administration;
* network administration.
Other responsibilities include: -
* 1 Direct report
* Purchasing all equipment
* A variety of project work
* Data back ups
* Responsible for the computer room as a whole
* Ast strategic direction of the IT department
* Keeping up to date with all the latest technologies
