Automotive Motor Trade Job: Business Manager, Canterbury - Kent. £14k Basic + Bonus (OTE £46k).

This vacancy has just arisen due to our Client's current BM being promoted to General Manager!
Main Job Purpose:-
Customer:
· To identify the most appropriate funding, and insurance / warranty / accessory options for each customers' unique circumstances
F&I Product Sales:
· To ensure agreed Finance, Insurance warranty, accessory volumes targets are met
· To identify and develop opportunities to enhance the performance of the F&I sales Profit
· To ensure agreed profitability targets are met on all of the above sales of finance products, insurance, warranties and accessories
· To manage the accurate and timely flow of F&I related administration thereby preventing potential loss of income, or invalidating payments
Key Performance Measures:-
The Individual will be measured on the following:
· Finance penetration
· Finance profit per unit
· Selections penetration
· Insurance penetration
· Insurance profit per unit
· Warranty, GAP penetration
· Finance volumes per approved provider
· Referral rate from sales people
· Renault franchise, and Renault Financial Services, standards applicable to the F&I department
· Key yardsticks from composite reports
· Customer retention through renewals
Detailed Responsibilities
Business Generation:
1. Contributes to the planning and development of departmental budgets - yardsticks
2.Implements department activities and action plans to support the achievement of the agreed budgets and yardsticks
3. Monitors department performance against the budget, identifying and addressing shortfalls and recognising opportunities for over performance
4. Meets, or speaks to, all customers who are in the process of making a purchase of a new or used vehicle in order to qualify their needs and to present the most appropriate solutions
5. Calculates and presents finance solutions including Selections PCP, HP, leasing, lease purchase, contract hire using manufacture's systems
Customer Care:
15. Maintains and develops good relationships with customers by meeting and exceeding their expectations
16. Handles customer problems, complaints and difficult situations in relation to F&I products where this has been escalated by the salesperson or customer using the necessary skills and, where possible, resolving the issue to the mutual satisfaction of the customer and the business
17. Regularly reviews the Manufacturer's bulletins and marketing programmes to ensure the introduction of current promotions to customers
Management:
18. Trains and supports sales people, thereby ensuring an agreed level of referral is achieved across the sales team
19. Monitors the referral performance of the team using effective control systems
20. Ensures that in their absence, sales teams have indicative information to provide customers with approximate payment subject to confirmation
General:
26. Understands and complies with all appropriate F&I legislation
27. Complies with all Health and Safety legislation to ensure safety and well being of self, colleagues, customers and visitors
28. Ensures the maintenance of all equipment and other materials
29. Maintains personal awareness of the company's quality procedures described in the company's Quality Management System
30. Completes any other appropriate Sales or Management activities as specified by the Dealer Principal
Requirements of the Job:
· Maintain a high level of contact with internal and external customers
· Identify and resolve dissatisfied customers issues in a professional and empathetic manner
· Work readily with, and present, numbers and provide/discuss statistical information
· Collect and use confidential customer information
· Build strong interdepartmental relationships, and to pay close attention to the requirements of those departments
· Pay close attention to administrative details, ensuring documentation is clear and legible
· Work independently in a busy, active environment
· Present a consistently professional image to all customers through attitude, behaviour and personal appearance
· Maintain up to date knowledge about new products, systems and services
Motor Trade experience is essential.
