This role involves working within the Sales and Marketing Department of the UK's largest paper producer. The Market Analyst is responsible for producing all sales and market information. You will be required to interact closely with sales managers, finance and senior management and should be confident in communicating at various levels.
Responsibilities include:
 
·        Producing monthly sales reports and analysing results achieved against plan
·        Responsible for all pricing analysis and maintaining the price database
·        Required to produce the annual sales budget
·        Producing monthly market reports
·        Analysing stock levels in Microsoft Access
·        Updating the competitor database
·        Downloading data queries from AS/400 into Excel
·        Analysing the market forecast in SPSS
·        Analysing total spend on customer complaints
 
The candidate must have excellent analytical skills, advanced level Excel skills, and working knowledge of relational databases such as Access and AS/400. The ability to use SPSS would be useful but not essential.
