- The person must be a very hands-on individual who can develop and implement systems and procedures from a zero start. They must have the ability to discuss base level issues with employees throughout the business, create potential solutions to problems, convince the senior staff that the solution is correct and then implement the solution on an effective basis.
- Flexibility of approach, ability to take on wider financial analyses projects across the group as required.
Knowledge and experience
- Sound understanding of current accounting processing and standards for use within a small £6m turnover business environment
- High level of proficiency with the Microsoft suite of products
- Past experience of using a computerised accounting package is essential
- Managing a diverse team of individuals who fulfill ancillary roles in a business is essential and providing support and a listening ear will be a large part of this role
- The ability to work on your own and make day-to-day decisions is important.
