PROGRAMMER (JCAPS/JAVA CAPS) upto £40,000

We are currently looking for an experienced Analyst Programmer for a fantastic permanent opportunity. The role is based within a market leading organisation within a very dynamic environment. They are looking to expand their current in-house development team alongside the Business Systems Director. The successful Developer will be responsible for developing, testing and maintaining new and existing software programs in the Business Systems domain. You will be require to define business requirements and objectives on a project by project basis and define project plans from scope to implementation. Coding according to specifications and designing, monitoring and running tests to correct errors will be a necessary part of this role, as well as de-bug procedures and isolating and suggesting areas for improvement. As this is a full cycle role, you will also be expected to install and train end users.

To be considered for this fantastic opportunity, you must have:

Degree or equivalent in a computing or related discipline

Sound working knowledge in a variety of programming languages-PREDOMINANTLY SUN JCAPS/JAVA CAPS 5 or 6

but also JAVA, SOA principles, web technologies including web2.0, AJAX , Web Design Tools Wave Maker, TIBCO GI, Net Beans

Thorough understanding of MS Windows Platform

Hands-on experience of gathering end user requirements and developing test cases and plans

Any knowledge of additional languages such as: Delphi V6, VB6, Visual Studio 2008, ColdFusion MX, WS or MOSS would be beneficial but not strictly necessary
