Marketing & Sales Assistant
We are a niche supplier in the drinks industry, with three key brands, one of them new in 2009. We are looking for someone to be involved, alongside our sales team (3), in establishing and promoting our products across the UK.
Essentially this role will involve:
Market Research – identifying channels to sell through, researching potential customers/partners, among all related industries, events, catering, festivals, hotels, restaurants, bars, corporate & private sectors, distributors, etc.
Pre-Sales – generating leads for our sales team to follow up, appointment setting, etc.
While this is the main focus of the role, there will be other general duties associated with our existing business, including:
Taking calls & queries, producing quotes for customers, taking bookings, etc.
General office administration, database management, credit control, invoicing, filing, post, etc.
Involvement in operations: coordinating warehouse staff, equipment, deliveries, scheduling, etc.
Ad hoc office/admin duties.
The ideal candidate:
Will have a basic understanding of how an office runs, good IT literacy, ideally some experience of bar work/similar, but this is not essential. Degree is preferred, but again not essential. Any experience in marketing or sales a distinct advantage.
It is crucial to have an excellent phone manner, attention to detail, and the ability to work quickly and efficiently.
Own transport is important, as we are not on a direct public transport route.

While this role unfortunately does not have a budget for salary, it is a small office, well run, with exciting products in an industry which is luckily doing very well at the moment. It will provide you with a well rounded experience of all kinds of office experience, basic accounts, customer service, telesales, market research, etc. Comfortable office, laid back atmosphere, focus on achievement.
