This local authority in Kent is looking for an Interim Development Control to join them on a 4-6 months contract.
Being a Development Control Manager you will be expected to manage a team of Development Control planners. You will be dealing with both your team and members of the public on all matters and enquiries, so you must have great communication skills. You will be in charge of making sure planning applications are processed, enforcement matters are handled, meetings and appeals are arranged when necessary and all work performance are on target and a great service is provided at all times. You will also be responsible to manage the planning team to ensure that everyone is performing well and are satisfied with what they are doing at work. You will be in charge of developing and implementing internal and external best practice in order to improve service delivery and optimise the use of resources.
You will have at least 7-8 years Development Control experience, must have a degree in planning, and you will have also worked in a similar management role in the past.
