Sales Manager
We are currently inviting the application of experienced Sales managers for a career opportunity that has arisen in the South East. Reporting to the South East Area Manager, the aim will be the profitable growth and efficient development of business in accordance with agreed business strategies.
The main responsibilities of the role will be to:
- Research and identify potential customers.
- Initiate contact with key people from prospective customers and build a rapport.
- Gather information by listening to the customer and asking searching questions in order to identify what are the main drivers behind their requirements and what the critical constraints are that may hinder the fulfilment of these requirements.
- Synthesis the information obtained from the customer to create a thorough understanding of both the customer's refrigeration needs and the critical decision making nodes that will need to be swayed in order to successfully take a proactive approach in formulating and presenting solutions that best fit these needs.
- Explore and communicate the features, benefits and disadvantages of alternative solutions and to guide the customer in deciding the best solution for his business.
- Create presentations using MS Power Point to communicate proposed solutions to customer, clearly articulating the features and benefits the customer will get from the proposed solution.
- Produce detailed tenders for submission to customer.
- Produce detailed cost estimates and tender assessment documentation for internal evaluation and control.
- Help formulate Sales and Marketing Strategy for the Area in cooperation with the Area Manager.
- Manage and motivate the other members of the sales team.
- Formulate customer specific sales approach and guide others members of the sales team in doing the same.
Candidates will require good technical refrigeration knowledge and proven sales skills. They will also require good interpersonal skills plus the following abilities:
- Good Organising and Planning
- Good understanding of Marketing concepts
- Good presentation and MS Power point skills
- Good general management
- Some understanding of financial concepts
