Head of PR - Start our PR department!
We are looking for a senior PR professional to launch our Agency’s PR offer.
We are a full service and integrated Agency who currently offers our Clients all aspects of the marketing mix, with the exception of PR.
We see this as an important string to our bow moving forward and therefore are looking to recruit a results focused, commercially driven individual who will relish the opportunity to build this department from scratch.
Ideally we are looking for someone with FMCG and retail experience and contacts, who is a new business getter and motivating team leader.
We have big ambitions for this part of the business and rewards for success will be significant…….
Description:
- Senior PR professional to head up portfolio of accounts (consumer account focus)
- Total responsibility for revenue stream including:
i. New business development
ii. Strategy and planning of account portfolio
iii. Creative ideas
iv. Finances
v. Resourcing and man management
- Opportunity to set-up and run PR department within successful agency environment
Skills required:
- Generate and close new business opportunities
- Clear strategist
- Creative skills essential
- Strong writing, media and project management
- Versatility in sector and channel – not afraid to roll up sleeves to exceed client expectations
- Excellent client service skills - especially at a senior level
- Strong leader
- Good business sense
- Ability to work in fast moving environment
- A team player / motivator
- Genuine passion
Experience required:
- Someone with a proven track record to build a team of bright young executives and support our ambitious expansion plans.
- Agency background a must with expertise running national/regional campaigns for big brand names
- FMCG and retail experience essential
- Understanding of marketing comms mix (ie. PR alongside advertising, design, promotions etc)
Package:
- Competitive basic salary £50 - £55k depending on experience
